The Year 9 ICT Computing curriculum aims to prepare you for the ICT or Computing IGCSE. You will learn advanced Spreadsheet skills. The Theory topics are taught to GCSE level. You will further develop your text based coding skills with Python and explore the new areas of Computer Science. Summative Assessment is carried out at the end of each topic.

In this unit, you will be introduced to how data can be represented and processed in sequences, such as lists and strings.
The Year 7 and 8 Programming units are prerequisites for this unit. It is assumed that you are already able to write Python programs that display messages, receive keyboard input, use simple arithmetic expressions, and control the flow of program execution through selection and iteration structures.
