The year 7 ICT/Computing Curriculum builds upon prior learning from Primary school. The main aim is to get you in to good habits and teach you how to use computers effectively. The curriculum is a mix of ICT and Computing topics. Summative Assessment is carried out at the end of each unit.

This is an introductory unit to the new academic year. In this unit, you will learn about the school network and online safety. It is a 6 lesson unit with an assessment at the end.
Computer hardware are parts of the computer that can be seen and touched. They compromise the electronic and physical parts of a computer system. In this unit you will be introduced the the different computer components, the roles they play and much more. It is a 6 lesson unit with an assessment at the end.
This is your first programming unit in Key Stage 3. The main aim of this unit and the following unit (Programming II) is to build learners’ confidence and knowledge of the key programming constructs.
This unit continues from where you left off in the previous unit. You will build on their understanding of the control structures’ sequence, selection, and iteration (the big three), and develop your problem-solving skills.
This is an Introductory unit to Spreadsheets. You will learn about the wonderful world of spreadsheets and modelling.
